Welcome to my website!

I'm a part-time lawyer, full-time mom, and aspiring children's author. Having grown up in Central and South America as a Third Culture Kid, I love to write stories that celebrate Latinx culture and diversity of all kinds. Diverse stories provide a much needed mirror for children, and inspire connection by giving children the opportunity to experience a little slice of life in someone else’s shoes. As a neurodiverse creator with lifelong ADHD and Generalized Anxiety Disorder, I also hope to write stories that help children and their parents (and me!) cope with anxiety and other social-emotional issues in productive ways, and find the beauty and humor in the chaos of childhood. Please check back regularly for updates and new picture book reviews (see the drop down menu above).

I’m thrilled to announce that my diverse SEL counting concept book has been chosen as a finalist for the 2022 #PBParty Showcase! ALL ABOARD THE CUZCO TRAIN!

I’m also extremely honored and excited to have been the recipient of a free 3 month mentorship with the amazing Anika Denise, through Justin Colon’s 2019 #PBChat Mentorship! Thank you Anika and Justin!

Thanks for stopping by my website. I love great writing in all of its forms, but picture books and YA mysteries bring me the most joy. Celebrating and promoting diversity in children’s literature (and in life) is very important to me, as is finding ways to help children and their parents (and myself!) cope with anxiety.

My blog consists of picture book reviews, author interviews, craft talk, writing contest entries, and my Collaboration Corner – where I interview writers and artists who have created picture books in collaboration (prior to finding a publisher).
